Born in 1953 Donatella comes from a family of producers of Brunello; she graduated in History of medieval art with top marks. In 1993 she founded the “Wine Tourism Movement”. The same year she invented – Wineday - that in a very short time transformed Italian wine tourism. Donatella also teaches in postgraduate courses in three different universities. After 14 years in the family estate in 1998 she created her own estate- made up of Fattoria del Colle in Trequanda with the Chianti winery and its beautiful country inn, and Casato Prime Donne in Montalcino. This is where the Brunello is produced, in the sole winery in Italy staffed by women only. In 2003 she won

the Oscar for Best Italian wine producer, prize awarded by the Italian Association of Sommelier, AIS Rome-Bibenda, and she has published the Manuale del turismo del vino and in 2007 Marketing del turismo del vino. Since 2001 Donatella Cinelli Colombini became Tourist advisor for the city of Siena, one of her creations has been “Urban trekking” a new type of sporting tourism, which from Siena, has been exported to another 34 cities in Italy. She is the Tuscan representative of the association Donne del Vino and from 2008 she is vice-president of the Enoteca Italiana.

Born in Montalcino in 1984 Violante takes a degree in Economics at the University in Florence e alternated her exams with working in the sales of her mother Donatella Cinelli Colombini’s wines. As well as travelling abroad for work and going to the wine expositions she dedicates time to “Toscana Lovers” the shop that in the heart of Siena sells artistic handicraft. She is president of the Leo district “La Toscana” Club Valli Senesi and she is Vice President of the Strada del Vino Orcia.

Born in Florence in 1971, as soon as she takes her degree in Economics and Commerce in Florence she moves to Siena where she has always run commercial activities in the city historical centre.

She has a real passion for Tuscan furnishings and handicraft, together with Donatella Cinelli Colombini and Violante Gardini, she is dedicated to the “Toscana Lovers”, shop just round the corner from Piazza del Campo
